Nowadays, in many metropolitan areas, people are making new houses and office buildings without any rules. Without design, those constructions are in various styles. I think this trend do more harm than good.nOn the one hand, when the construction is not controlled, the owners of new houses and office building can take advantage of their experiences, ability and hobbies. This makes every house or building become unique so it can contribute to the image of a city and attract tourists. Moreover, people with less money also can built their own houses or buildings like the rich and do not need to spend a huge amount of money like them .nOn the other hand, the consequence of this trend is that there are many tiny and unsafe houses and office buildings in big cities nowadays. When people donnot have to follow any rules, they are likely to built their constrictions carelessly to save money and time. In Hanoi, the news has reported many super mini houses in overcrowded places that makes the city look ugly and they are also dangerous for people living in and near them because they can fall off anytime.nTo sum up, the advantages of this phenomenon donnot outweigh the disadvantage. And the government must enact new laws to control the construction. So the image of cities will be better and especially their citizens can live or work in safe houses and buildings.n

In my opinion, building new homes and unregulated office buildings has its advantages and disadvantages. Firstly, let me talk about the pros first: It also has its own unique beauties and has houses built in extremely bold styles but for some people it may be ugly but for me it is. it always gives me its own beauty such as the 111 West 57th Street building, with 91 floors and a height of more than 432 m. As for the downside, it breaks the city's planning, does not ensure the safety of the surrounding works and breaks the beauty of the environment...
So I think its cons will outweigh its advantages

The test: The construction of new houses and office buildings is not controlled. This leads to people building in whatever style they want without thinking about design. Do the advantages of this trend outweigh the disadvantages?

Design is very important in a society because it affects how people perceive things, their behavior, and also their interactions with one another. It's something we often use for conversation pieces, too-it can make or break a room. That's why it's necessary that we have some sort of guideline that everyone adheres to, whether it be the government or an individual community. Without guidelines, design can lead to chaos.

Following a guideline is not always a bad thing; in fact, it has many benefits. Aside from making sure that everything looks good in its surrounding environment and compliment each other well with the use of color, materials, etc., following templates also makes things faster when you need to build something-all you need is the needed supplies and manpower and you can start building right away. It also makes things more cost efficient because you no longer need to spend time deciding what design would look better for your environment-you already have everything planned out beforehand.

So why don't we have anything like this for new houses and office buildings? Because it is often done by the owner or developer, and they don't have to adhere to any guidelines except those which are put in place by the government. This gets a little dicey when it comes to designs, because there are no standards-the owners can do what they want. They can be more creative so as to fit their preferences, but if one of those designs doesn't look good in itself, then that's it: it won't be used anymore after the project has been completed. It becomes useless immediately. In other words, there is no way to do something, because no one knows what an appropriate design would look like. Basically, the designer will just make something that looks good in his or her own eyes-it often still has elements of what he or she originally planned for but it isn't really a whole new environment.

Now, this might be fine for the owner of a small building, but when it comes to large office buildings and apartment complexes then you have to question whether or not this is good practice. In big buildings (apartment complexes and skyscrapers) the same problem exists-you have a designer who makes up whatever he or she wants without having any guidelines to work under.

The regulations of building and construction are at the forefront of national debate and driving political discourse as construction and design of new apartments, in many urban areas, are not regulated strictly by the government. In turn, different shapes, styles, and designs of buildings are scattered in cities. While it reaps many benefits, I feel that the drawbacks of this phenomenon outstrip its advantages.

The builders gain some advantages from this lax control. First and foremost, it gives architects and designers much scope for creativity. Put simply, when they have simple rules to comply with, engineers can take the risk to conduct an experiment with designs and shapes, which in turn, erect buildings which are likely to be unique. In fact, it builds a beautiful city with an eclectic mixture of ancient and modern designs. Secondly, the commence of a construction undergoes a process of simplification resulting in accelerating the building process. In New Delhi, India, for instance, where the government hardly interfere in construction affairs, builders can start construction within a few weeks of buying land.

Despite the aforementioned benefits, this development has its serious drawbacks. A notable one is that freedom of construction can spoil the ambience of a neighbourhood. To illustrate, by allowing citizens to put up a modern structure next to a heritage site, the character of the city can be marred. Not only does this make the city less attractive, but also the economy may suffer from a drop in tourist’s rate. Another key fact to remember is that loose building regulations can lead to a compromise with safety. A very good example here is Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, where many buildings were damaged during the severe earthquake in 2015 because they were built by violating building codes and regulations. Thus, stringent building regulations are of profound importance.

To conclude, the benefits of relaxed design and construction codes are eclipsed by its setbacks in the sense that the phenomenon can harm the economy and cause horrific incidents.
