The great popularity of e-book instead of conventional books raises the question of the books’ current position in modern society. Some people believe that the essential level of them is remarkably falling. However, I believe that books’ importance will never change because of their mentally priceless and eternal value.
Admittedly, there are several benefits of the e-book that outweigh books’ ones. To begin with, e-book helps to bring knowledge to everyone if they would like without obstacles related to either finance or geography as traditional books. As the internet is almost worldwide popular, people can reach a variety of information sources with only several seconds to type the topic they are struggled, not in need of neither commuting nor paying money to buy documents. Therefore, e-books are also intensely economically and time-saving since almost e-books are available every time and free of charge.
On the other hand, books play indispensable roles in people’s mental life that to thrive, society cannot be lack of them. First, as mentioned, using books is time-consuming. Yet, it is the unique way books give people the ability to occasionally slow down for understanding their own lives, their own desires, and similar topics through letters in pages. Since there are no distractions namely Facebook, Instagram notifications when they stay with books, readers can completely unwind and refresh their minds in order to find out radical and suitable solutions or decisions. Besides, due to heavy censor, the information in books is by far reliable compared to the e-books. Owing to all the given reasons, books are a fabulous tool that better people.
In conclusion, e-books are more common than books today; however, personally, it does not mean that books are losing their position in human development because of their valuable merits.

Books have been a great source of information and entertainment since ages. However, in recent times, books are thought to be losing their importance. I agree with this view and in this essay I will explain how the availability of information on the internet and the aggressive growth of visual media have threatened the very existence of printed books.

To begin with, thanks to the advent of the internet, all the information is now available at the click of a button. For example, if we need information on a particular topic, we only have to Google it and it is available for free. Thus people tend to search information online rather than spending money on books which are often expensive. Also, finding information from a book often takes a lot of time. Hence it is evident that the popularity of books is decreasing.

Additionally, there has been a dramatic growth in the popularity and reach of visual media which provide different types of entertainment. For instance, people these days switch on their television during their free time. They no longer read a book to relax their mind. The internet also provides a lot of entertainment material and even smart phones have access to the internet these days. Therefore, the demand for books as a source of entertainment has reduced considerably.

In conclusion, I would say that though books are a great source of information and entertainment, people, nowadays, have access to alternative means of entertainment and faster and more convenient sources of information.Consequently, books are losing their readers.

Books - appeared very early, since papers were popular - have been useful through centuries. But after the Internet was invented, books became less interesting. So, "some people think that books “are losing importance as a source of information and entertainment”.
Books are the oldest way to store information from everything in the world, and became a valuable source of information which are still used, especially in education. But what about other fields? Simply, they are now still innovating to catch the trend of the teenagers. This means that books are too old now, and they are only suitable for the old.
The reason is also simple: the "outbreak" of digital technology. It brings a new way to spread and update the information which is much more convenient and faster than books. This lead to the appearance of a new book type: E-book. Because of its benefits (new, convenient, easy to read with any languages...), it is now appearing as a new educating tool in many developed countries, and paper books become less. Sometimes they can only be found in local libraries.
But this doesn't mean that paper books (in general) will disappear forever. As we know, some libraries in the world now, which still serve paper books, are attractive and many readers still like choosing them to read books. That is an evidence to show that paper books is not backward, just because they are less interesting than "E-book", represent the "new way to entertain" technology.
In conclusion, paper books (traditional books) are losing importance as an entertainment, but will be the source of information forever.

Since ancient times, books are a place to store all discoveries discovered by humans. Books not only give people intellectuals, knowledge but also entertainers or save traces of the life of a great man, a great politician ...
Nowadays, with the development of technology and internet devices, people have started to switch from buying books to reading them online, which is beneficial for readers to read a whole work. without spending money to buy, time to buy and buy in many goods and also convenient in that you can read anywhere without bringing the book. For the authors, this is also very beneficial. Many young authors without reputation can put their work online and let the online community evaluate it later to become more famous ...
Besides, there are also many drawbacks, on websites, there is information from a lot of different sources, not knowing where the original information is. Meanwhile, books published exclusively can guarantee accuracy from the origin and prestige.
Therefore, I disagree that the book is losing its importance.

In the ancient times, books were the prime source of knowledge as well as they also entertain the readers. However, with the rise of the internet and technology, a segment of society believes that technology is overwhelming books due to which books are not seen as the fruitful source. My conviction is the same which is supported in the following paragraphs.

Admittedly, the knowledge on the internet is vast and easy to access in comparison to the books in which the information is limited. In the case of books, if we have doubts while reading, either we have to consult experts or search on the internet. To substantiate it, In Australia, 90% of students prefer to read things online instead of books as they find them disdain and spurn them.

Even though great stories are printed in books, people are heading towards cinemas and other ways for their entertainment. Nowadays, directors make movies on such novels due to which it is not essential to read them. Furthermore, people are more obsessed with their health and in order to keep them fit, they choose games and sports as it is the good way to entertain and fulfill other desires. On top of it, it is arduous to give time to books as people have their schedules hectic and during their leisure time, it is imperative for them to choose cyberspace.

Having dwelled on such thoughts it is clear that world wide web, games and movies are epitome for knowledge and entertainment, while books are outdated for this purpose.
