There used to be a common belief that crime is caused mostly by poverty. However, currently, it is not true. Sometimes it is still the underlying reason for crime but it doesn’t cause mostly.
Poverty, negatively, has some bad effects on people such as inadequate education, poor, bad impact from living environment. In the past, because of the stagnancy of the economy, life was difficult. The society didn’t concentrate on raise people’s cognition about laws, so people when committed crimes usually couldn’t see the publishment that they would suffer. But now, it is different. In most countries, general education is compulsory and poor children are encouraged to go to school thanks to the goverment’s aid or organizations’ donations. Therefore, almost everyone basically knows what can do, what can’t do and what have to do.
Moreover, That the economy, in general, is continuously developing makes the living conditions more improved. People can easily have a job to make ends meet, so according to the statistics of the Vietnamese police, the crime caused by the reason of poverty only take a small percentage (11%). From my point of view, the worst side of poverty is the bad living environment. This has a bad impact on people, especially from their families.
The crime nowadays has a lot of reasons. It can be from the development of market economy, conflict in life, politics and especially their own self. The more serious crime, the deeper its motivator is. These reasons cause mostly crimes and even in the crimes of the poor, some derive from other reasons, not inadequate life.
In brief, crimes are not caused mostly by poverty. It can be so in the past. But now it has lots of other reasons and I think it is all from people’s stance.

In many recent years, the number of offenders has increased at an alarming rate. Evidently, it not only has adverse ramifications on themselves but also on the development of our country. Some people hold an opinion that the key reason behind is poverty. For my money, I wholeheartedly disagree with this statement. nTo commence with, there are many factors leading people to commit crime beyond poverty. First and foremost, it is indisputable that lacking of education or vacation al is an explanation for this. Indeed, when people attend school, they will cultivate their knowledge and learn how to behave appropriately with the norms of our society. Never do they engage in even some minor criminal activities such as shoplifting or pickpocketing. Notwithstanding, people who drop out of school if far from it. They do not know serious consequences of those activities and they will become lawbreakers day by day.nAnother reason is related to lack of parental guidance . In fact, more and more parents are snowed under with work everyday because of the globalization . They must work hard from 8 to 10 hours a day for six days a week to bring home the bacon. Being stressed makes them hardly have enough time to educate their offsprings so that they will not commit an offence. Without parent's control, bad guys will take advantage of their innocence and they will be fell prey to illicit activities like selling drugs.nTo recapitulate, the above illustrations provide solid evidences on my viewpoint about some causes inducing people to become crime. In addition to poverty, lacking of education and parental guidance also bring about an upsurge in the number of offenders. Therefore, it's time bothe the government and individual took steps to solve this hot problem swiftly.

I do not agree, because rich or poor, he himself decides his own future, not related to crime.

I'm disagree because sometimes the crimes from dissipated. For example, some teenagers dissipated and when they don't have any money, they go to home, ask to money with their parents but their parents don't give them money so they Obligatory to stolen to have more money.

It is true that lawbreaking has become a huge problem for society. While it can be argued that transgression is the outcome of people's innate. I believe that offense is the aftermath of poor living conditions and social issue. The reasons for my position are as follows.

There are several reasons why some people think crime is the product of bad manner. Firstly, they think that natural law has create this type of people, so this situation is inevitable and it should be accepted in our society. In addition, it could be said that those who easily provoked by some agents like the other's appearance or voice could be the root for causing violent attack. After all, their motives of vicious actions are not quite defined, it could originate from disembodied voices, which prompt them to damage others.

Despite above arguments, I believe that serious crime is the consequence of unacceptable living conditions and social issue. At first, poverty is usually the root for offenders to do prohibited actions. For example, a short survey of homeless people in Hanoi indicates that 70% of people could become thieves to overcome the financial burden. Furthermore, the legislation system is not strong enough to deter lawbreaker to do severe actions which are mostly harmful for the society. For instance, a report by police shows that, in Vietnam, 80% of criminal could violate the law deliberately because they know how to act correctly to avoid being jailed.

In conclusion, in some extreme circumstances, the nature of bad person causes crime may be accurate; but in most cases, social issues are more likely to be the causes.
