It is believed that only workers who have contributed to an organization for a long time should have opportunities to get promotion to higher position. In my opinion, I think that not only employees who have long experience but aslo workers who have excellent performance deserve to be promoted.



On the one hand, it is appreciated to promote people with seniority because of their loyalty and hard work. Companies should have policy for workers with many years of experience. For example, in Samsung corporation, staff with above five years of working will have chance to be promoted and have higher salary. When company has applied this kind of policy, it will have influence on their staff and encourage them to dedicate and contribute more actively.



On the other hand, promotion should also be based on staff's performace. In international companies, employers use annual result to decide who are deserved to be promoted. Under this system, managers can set targets for their employees. If the targets are met, they have opportunity to have higher position.This makes the working environment more competitive and maximise the sales of the company. For instance, in my company, who has the best number of sales can become team leader.



In conclusion, I believe that promotion should based on both experience as well as performance of the employees.
