Means of communication has been a controversial subject all over the world in recent decades. It is believed that oral communication is more influential than written communication. From my perspective, it depends on certain circumstances to decide which of these is more powerful than the other.nIn some cases, oral speech can convey our opinions effectively as we can use body languages and facial expressions. For instance, when we have not met our friend for a long time, it is better to meet him or her face-to-face rather than to stay at home and send messages to them since emotional icons or pictures cannot replace the smiles or some real interactions. Another thing is that when using oral communication, we can easily guess the feelings of the person we are talking with through their gestures and we can have a better understanding of that person, which cannot be done by reading some texts. nOn the contrary, when it comes to formal situations, I think written communication is better than spoken one. This is why in important events like a wedding or a ceremony, written invitations are often used. Also, in business or working circumstances, correspondence is considered more appropriate as important worksheet do not have to be responded at once. For example, it would be very convenient for us to send emails to our colleagues about a task or to our customers instead of having to meet and discuss with each of them. Moreover, in special events like birthday or Christmas, a card with hand-written letters is usually more meaningful than just a wish. nIn conclusion, both spoken and written communication is equally vital for people in different cases. As a consequence, we should know when to use them suitably so that we can express our opinion correctly.
