NASA female scientist dies aged 101

NASA mathematician Kinda Johnson, who was well-known for having an acute mind that made her a “human computer”, died on February 24th at the age of 101.

From the very earliest days of the creation of National Aeronautics and Space Administration, since machinery was so primitive that Kinda and her colleagues had to do all the calculations manually, including hand-calculating rocket trajectories. It was part of her math talents that helped America become the first nation to put humans on the Moon. Johnson’s unsung stories were told in a book named “Hidden Figures” and adapted into a movie of the same title.

“We will never forget Kinda Johnson. But for her contribution, the milestones would not have been reached. Her life stories will be the inspiration for future generations.”, NASA announced.

It was in 2015 that President Obama presented Presidential Medal of Freedom to Mrs.Kinda at the White House. This is the highest civilian honour awarded to an American citizen.

From the very earliest days of the creation establishment of National Aeronautics and Space Administration, since (bạn dùng mệnh đề so ...that) rồi thì không dùng mệnh đề nguyên nhân since nữa  machinery was danh từ số nhiều và chia động từ theo danh từ đó so primitive that Kinda and her colleagues had to do all the calculations manually, including hand-calculating rocket trajectories. It was part of her math talents contributions that helped America become the first nation to put humans on the Moon. Johnson’s unsung stories were told in a book named “Hidden Figures” and adapted into a movie of the same title.

We will never forget Kinda Johnson. But for her contribution, the milestones would not have been reached. Her life stories will be the inspiration for future generations. The NASA family will never forget Katherine Johnson's courage and the milestones we could not have reached without her. Her story and her grace continue to inspire the world”, NASA announced.
