NASA female scientist passed away at the age of 101

Kinda Johnson, a mathematician of NASA, who was known as an extremely active brain like a "living computer", passed away on February 24th at the age of 101.

At the first days of National Aeronautics and Space Administration's establishment, due to the rudimentary machines, Ms. Kinda and her colleagues had to calculate the shuttle's orbit manually. Her contributions encouraged America to become the first country which succeeded in bringing men to the Moon. The silent life of this color-skinned woman also reappeared in the book and the movie, both of which had the same name: "Hidden Figures".

"NASA will never forget Kinda Johnson. Many great milestones in human history wouldn not have been reached without her contributions. Kinda Johnson's life story will always be a source of inspiration for next generations", writed NASA's announcement.

In a ceremony at White House in the year of 2015, Ms. Kinda was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Obama. This is the highest civil honer that an American citizen can receive.
