Cuộc thi viết thư UPU lần thứ 42 với chủ đề nguồn nước.
Cuộc thi Viết thư UPU lần thứ 42 được phát động ngày 1/11 tại Hà Nội. Sự kiện do Bộ Thông tin-Truyền thông, Bộ Giáo dục-Đào tạo, Trung ương Đoàn Thanh niên cộng sản Hồ Chí Minh, Bộ Tài nguyên và Môi trường, Tập đoàn Bưu chính viễn thông Việt Nam phối hợp tổ chức.
Đây là hoạt động thường niên mang nhiều ý nghĩa dành cho các em độ tuổi dưới 15, giúp các em học sinh nâng cao hiểu biết, nhận thức về các vấn đề xã hội, toàn cầu; gắn bó, đoàn kết, hữu nghị giữa các dân tộc; khả năng diễn đạt ngôn ngữ đồng thời hiểu thêm về vai trò của ngành bưu chính trong cuộc sống và phát triển xã hội.
Năm nay, đề tài cuộc thi là "Hãy viết thư để nói tại sao nguồn nước là quý" gắn với Thập niên hành động- “Nước đối với cuộc sống” 2005-2015 của Liên hợp quốc.
Điểm mới của cuộc thi lần này là người tham gia có thể viết thư tay bằng tiếng Anh hoặc tiếng Pháp và gửi kèm bản tiếng Việt. Thời gian nhận bài thi từ 5/11/2012 đến 8/3/2013. Ban tổ chức sẽ trao thưởng cho các giải quốc gia.

The 42nd UPU writing contest is launched on November 1st in Ha Noi. The event is combined held by the Ministry of information anf communications, the ministry of education and training, the central Ho Chi Minh communist Youth Union, the munistry of natural resources and enviroment, the Viet Nam post and telecommunication group.
THis is annual activity with more mean for the children under the age of 15, help students improve knowledge, awareness of global social issuess, to be fond of, solidarity, friendship between the nation, expenssive language ability as learn more about the role of the postal sector in social life and development.
This year, the topic of the competion is" write a letter to say why water noble?" associated with the Decade of action" water for life" 2005-2007 of the united nations.
New the contest this time is participant can write by hands in English or Franch and enclosed in Vietnamese
Test priod from 5/11/2012 to 8/11/2013. The organizer will award prizes for the country.

This year, the competition's title is "Write a letter to explain why water resource is precious" attached to the decade of action " Water for life" 2005-2015 of United Nation.
A new feature of this competition is to allow contestants to write in English or French enclosed a Vietnamese version. Handwritten letters will be collected from November 5, 2012 to March 8, 2013. National prizes will be awarded by the organiser board.
